Royalties

Royalties are one way players can earn!

7% royalties are charged for secondary sales of Fantomon Cards. Some of this is paid to players!

At level 1, all royalties for a card go to the development team. Each time a player levels a Fantomon to either 25, 50, 75 or 100, they lock in 1% lifetime royalties for secondary sales of that specific card!

If you level a Fantomon through all 4 of these levels, you lock in 4% royalties for that card. If you decide to go sell it, your time was not wasted! You will keep earning royalties on it for life!

Up to four different players can split royalties for a card.

Royalties Example:

Example 1:

  1. Larkin mints a Relixia and decides to level the card from 1 to 100

Larkin locks in 4% royalties on the card. The remaining 3% royalties (of the total 7%) is split among the team.

Example 2:

  1. Larkin mints a Relixia (lucky...) and levels it to 24. Larkin suffers from temporary insanity and decides to sell his Relixia to Alice.

  2. Alice levels it to 25 and sells to Bob

  3. Bob levels to 50 sells to Carly

  4. Carly levels to 75 sells to David

  5. David levels to 100, sells to Erkle

So who gets royalties here? Alice, Bob, Carly and David have each locked in 1% royalties on this Relixia for leveling it through 25, 50, 75 or 100. Larkin sold right before 25, so he does not get any royalties on the card, and Erkle bought the card after it was fully leveled, so he does not get any royalties either. The development team still splits 3% now (the remaining royalties of the total 7%).
